NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS, SOLUTIONS & POLLUTANTS

How often do we see NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS fade away after just a week....ok, ok, maximum 30 days? Far too often! Since the season is here, PNC Consulting Firm would like to offer a few tips for your business’s 2013-2014 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

First  
Who better than PNC to provide CREATIVE BUSINESS CONSULTING for your goals, events, programs, conferences, parties and beyond.


Second Take time with your executives or team to pin point areas of improvement and potential. Be realistic and make this a goal with detailed steps for obtaining desired results. In doing so,
·        Conduct the necessary research needed
·        Check in house and affiliate resources that may help you reach your goal more efficiently
·        Create a timeline and delegate responsibilities

Third Pause and look back at successful connections and business relationships that have been rewarding to personally say THANK YOU for the collaboration. At the same time you want to remind them of what you do and ask for repeat business and referrals.  This will reconnect you to quality correspondents and pave the way for new connections.

Fourth 
De-Clutter, Let Go & DELETE!! Sift through that pile of business cards and get rid of costly contacts who don’t serve your business or your purpose. Also, don’t be afraid to Let Go of business that isn’t benefiting your business. This may seem harsh, but it saves time, money, & your business from 
TOXIC CONNECTIONS.
And last but not least, DELETE numbers and email addresses that have rubbed your business the wrong way. Use a little intuition and spot TOXIC CONNECTIONS a mile away before you make an investment into the TOXIC person, place or thing.

NETWORKING DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Everyone wants to NETWORK with a PREFERRED NETWORKING CORRESPONDENT IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
Now the first step is to establish that you are indeed a 
PREFERRED NETWORKING CORRESPONDENT -

Before we go in, lets define NETWORKING.  Basically it's when you make mutually beneficial connections both business and personal and PREFERRED is one that is favored, ideal and desired.

With a clear vision and mission, your business confidence should create a MAGNETIZING force field attracting beneficial people, places and things.  
So for the Holiday Season, you’ll be invited to all types of events ranging from Holiday Parties, Holiday Business Events or Family Gatherings and these are perfect opportunities to meet new people, learn new things and NETWORK!  This is a perfect time to mingle and most importantly HAVE FUN.
Don’t overdo it when the conversation presents itself. Be natural and be yourself. Believe me, no one wants you to dominate the conversation or the event with your business commercial. Let the conversation flow and without thinking too hard about it the opportunity for your 30-60sec “So what do you do” response will fall right into place. Now, I’m not saying to be so laid back you miss a killer connection. I’m just advising you not to be overbearing.
Here are some great tips from PNC CONSULTING FIRM
Feel and look great at the event – When you radiate from the inside out, you attract the same energy. Work your magic, if you will and enjoy yourself.
Talk about your clients and business affiliates as it may pertain to the conversation – This will happen naturally but refrain from the infomercial approach unless that’s what the people want. But still don’t give them the 2 hour presentation.
Ask others what they do or what causes/charities they support – This is one of my favorite conversation starters. It’s easy and the conversation just takes off from there.
Be prepared for a SOCIAL MEDIA SIDEBAR – Within the first 5-10 minutes of the conversation, STOP-PAUSE & HAVE A SOCIAL MEDIA SIDEBAR. Connect right on the spot with your phone or tablet device. So before you leave the event, you’ve already friended, liked and made a made a few post. AND YES, PHOTO OPPS seal the SOCIAL MEDIA SIDEBAR experience (this is a must before you leave).  
Know how to shine without blinding everyone in the room – Again, radiate from within and you will shine nicely at any event you attend for the Holidays.
**Make appointments & Follow up – If you’ve make a PREFERRED NETWORKING CONNECTION, make the appointment and or follow up. A deflated networking experience is always attributed to lack of quality communication.

HOLIDAY NETWORKING TOOLS
-Business Cards – this is a nifty tool but to let it limit you during the Holidays. If you’re all out or if you’re new business cards are on the way, don’t miss the opportunity to use the good ol’ fashion pen and paper to make your holiday connection.
-Phone – today our phones are our connection to our circle, our business and our global community. Be sure to have your phone charged and ready to whip out if needed.
-Web Presence (website or social media) – You want to make sure your blog and website have been recently updated prior to a big event. This shows how active you are with your craft.
-Breath Mints/Enhancers – The last thing you want is to run away an opportunity to connect because of bad breath. Trust me, I've dropped several conversations due to lack of breath freshness. It burns my eyes and makes it hard to breath let alone NETWORK.
